# CloudBrowser MCP server

Give AI agents a real cloud Chrome: open sessions, navigate, read pages, click, type and screenshot.

## At a glance

CloudBrowser is an MCP server in the Design & Media category. It is hosted remotely and connects over HTTP, and declares no required credentials. It exposes 20 tools, including browser_workspace, resume_saved_session and open_browser. It scores B (73/100) on the MCP Skills Hub health score as of Oct 28, 2026.

## Install

### How to install CloudBrowser in Claude Code

1. Add the server

```bash
claude mcp add --transport http cloudbrowser https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai
```

2. Verify it's connected

```bash
claude mcp list
```

3. Sharing it with your team?

   Add `--scope project` to write it to .mcp.json in the repository root, which you can commit (with the secrets left as environment variables).

4. Use it in a session

   Ask Claude to use the tools this server exposes (e.g. browser_workspace, resume_saved_session, open_browser). It discovers them automatically.

### How to install CloudBrowser in Claude Desktop

1. Open your MCP config

   macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json · Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

2. Add this server

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cloudbrowser": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"
      ]
    }
  }
}
```

3. Why the wrapper?

   This is a remote (HTTP) server and Claude Desktop only launches local processes, so mcp-remote proxies the connection. It will open a browser window if the server needs OAuth.

4. Restart Claude Desktop

   The tools appear under the 🔌 menu once the app reloads.

### How to install CloudBrowser in Cursor

1. Create / edit .cursor/mcp.json in your project

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cloudbrowser": {
      "url": "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"
    }
  }
}
```

2. Enable it

   Cursor Settings → MCP → toggle the server on. Tools become available to the Composer/Agent.

### How to install CloudBrowser in Codex CLI

1. Add to ~/.codex/config.toml

```toml
[mcp_servers.cloudbrowser]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "mcp-remote", "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"]
```

2. Why the wrapper?

   Codex runs MCP servers as local processes, so mcp-remote bridges this HTTP endpoint to stdio.

3. Run Codex

   Codex loads MCP servers from config.toml on startup and exposes their tools to the agent.

### How to install CloudBrowser in Windsurf

1. Edit ~/.codeium/windsurf/mcp_config.json

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cloudbrowser": {
      "serverUrl": "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"
    }
  }
}
```

2. Reload

   Windsurf → Cascade → refresh MCP servers. Cascade can now call the tools.

### How to install CloudBrowser in Cline

1. Open Cline → MCP Servers → Configure

   Adds to cline_mcp_settings.json.

2. Add the server

```json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cloudbrowser": {
      "type": "streamableHttp",
      "url": "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"
    }
  }
}
```

### How to install CloudBrowser in VS Code

1. Create .vscode/mcp.json

```json
{
  "servers": {
    "cloudbrowser": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://mcp.cloudbrowser.ai"
    }
  }
}
```

2. Start it

   VS Code shows a ▶ Start action above the server entry. Agent mode (Copilot Chat) can then use the tools.

## Tools

- `browser_workspace` — Show your active browsers and saved sessions in a workspace beside the conversation. Does not allocate or connect a browser. Optionally show a connected browser and its current screenshot. Use the sessionId and address from the selected browser to continue work.
- `resume_saved_session` — Resume an existing saved session owned by the connected account. Reuses an active browser with the label, otherwise opens one metered browser with a 180-second idle timeout, restoring cookies and storage, not tabs. Only call after the user requests resume. Never retry an ambiguous allocation or change requestId to retry. Close the returned browser when finished.
- `open_browser` — Open a remote browser in the cloud using CloudBrowser.ai
- `close_browser` — Close a specific browser
- `get_browsers` — Get list of active browsers
- `start_remote_desktop` — Start remote desktop access to a browser
- `stop_remote_desktop` — Stop remote desktop access to a browser
- `get_saved_sessions` — Get list of saved sessions
- `remove_saved_session` — Delete a saved session
- `connect_to_browser` — Connect to CloudBrowser browser for direct control
- `navigate_to_url` — Navigate to a specific URL
- `get_page_content` — Get HTML content of the current page
- `click_element` — Click on a page element
- `type_text` — Type text into an element
- `get_elements` — Get information about elements matching a selector
- `take_screenshot` — Take screenshot of the current page
- `evaluate_script` — Execute JavaScript code on the page
- `detect_captcha` — Detect captcha widgets in the current page
- `disconnect_browser` — Desconectar del navegador controlado
- `get_connected_browsers` — Obtener lista de navegadores conectados
