3. Why the wrapper?

   This is a remote (HTTP) server and Claude Desktop only launches local processes, so mcp-remote proxies the connection. It will open a browser window if the server needs OAuth.

4. Restart Claude Desktop

   The tools appear under the 🔌 menu once the app reloads.

   Codex runs MCP servers as local processes, so mcp-remote bridges this HTTP endpoint to stdio.

2. Start it

   VS Code shows a ▶ Start action above the server entry. Agent mode (Copilot Chat) can then use the tools.

## Tools

- `list_certifications` — List the professional certifications Examova prepares learners for (CIPS Level 4, PMP, PRINCE2 7 Foundation, Business English) with provider, edition and links. Call this first to see what is available.
- `get_exam_info` — Current public exam facts for one certification: edition, exam format (question count, time, pass mark where the issuer publishes a fixed one), PMP domain weights, and links to its module pages. CIPS Level 4 assessments vary by module, so its facts are given per module.
- `list_modules` — List the modules (units) of a certification with their code, title, assessment type and page link. Use it to find the right module before get_module_info or search_practice_questions.
- `get_module_info` — Overview of one module: description, assessment type and the learning-outcome titles it covers. Titles only; study text stays in Examova Pro.
- `search_practice_questions` — Return curated Examova public-preview practice questions for a certification, optionally filtered by module or keyword. Use it to quiz the user: show the stem and options, let them answer, then reveal correctLabel. Returns the question, options and correct answer letter; full explanations and the complete question bank need an Examova account.
- `search_guides` — Search Examova's free public study guides and exam-tip articles (blog). Returns titles, summaries and links; use get_guide to read one in full.
- `get_guide` — Read one free public Examova study guide in full (Markdown) by its slug from search_guides. Cite the guide URL when you use it.
- `get_exam_schedule` — CIPS Level 4 exam sessions (2026-2027): booking windows, objective and written exam dates, and results dates, plus the next upcoming session. Dates are set by CIPS and can change; confirm on the CIPS website before booking.
- `get_pricing` — Examova plans: what the free tier includes and the Pro prices (USD, billed per certification), trial and cancellation terms.
- `compare_certifications` — Compare certifications side by side (provider, edition, exam format and pass mark where the issuer publishes one). Pass slugs, or omit to compare all. Verify high-stakes facts with the issuer.
- `search_site` — Search everything public on Examova at once: certifications, modules and study guides. Returns typed results with URLs. Good first call when the user's topic is vague.
- `get_signup_link` — Links to start using Examova: free demo exam, free account (5 questions/day) and Pro pricing; optionally deep-linked to a certification.
