MCP tool
recall
recall is a tool name used by 8 different MCP servers. They are not necessarily the same tool — here is what each one does.
8 MCP servers expose a recall tool: MemoryPilot, Assertion Memory, netcafe-memory, Apiary Memory, Atlaso Memory, memory-nexus-mcp, nexus-memory-mcp and Memory Hive. Their input schemas differ, so compare them below before picking one.
Servers exposing recall
From the publisher:Start here. Loads all context in one shot: project memories, scoped thread/window memories, preferences, critical facts, patterns, decisions, global prompt. Supports `mode = safe/default/full`, `compact = true` for AAAK compression.
Install MemoryPilot →From the publisher:Look up what's known about a topic from prior work. Substring match on a keyword across all claims and evidence; returns up to 20 hits. Use literal terms first; if no hits, try synonyms.
Install Assertion Memory →Parameter Type Description keyword*string Substring to match (case-insensitive) against claim text and evidence workspacestring Optional memory space to operate in — pass this session's team space (shown in your context) when the session is on one; omit for your default. Member-validated. From the publisher:Retrieve previously stored memories, optionally filtered by search query and/or project. Call at the start of work on a known project to restore context: why decisions were made, known fixes, preferences. Example — GET https://ainetcafe.com/t/recall?query=<what+to+remember> (needs a workspace/key for durable memory)
Install netcafe-memory →Parameter Type Description querystring Optional search terms; omit to list the most recent. projectstring Optional project filter. limitinteger Max results (default 8, up to 20). From the publisher:read
Install Apiary Memory →From the publisher:Search your memory for notes relevant to `query`. Returns a ranked list of `{id, content}`. Read-only.
Install Atlaso Memory →From the publisher:Semantic search across all memories (by meaning, not keywords)
Install memory-nexus-mcp →From the publisher:Semantic search across all memories (by meaning, not keywords)
Install nexus-memory-mcp →From the publisher:read
Install Memory Hive →
